What I'm trying to say is that they don't mind making Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank Canon because their stories won't affect the future series. She was mentioned on the radio in ACIT but that's it. So it's not like its a one time character. Also, note that the Lombax Ratchet meets in RAC2 plays a huge role in the story of RAC2. Like in RAC2 Ratchet meets another Lombax but in TOD, Ratchet said he has never met another Lombax. And they didn't mind making sections of the story in previous canon games, not canon. You could play TOD without playing any of the previous games, but for QFB you needed to play TOD to understand the story. It wasn't until the future saga they started making it necessary to play the previous games to understand the story.

( I never played Secret Agent Clank so I don't know the story) You could play any of the PS2 Ratchet and Clank games without playing the previous games and still understand the story. The same can be said for RAC3, Deadlocked, Size matters and I'm guessing Secret Agent Clank. Sure there were some references to RAC1 but you didn't need to play RAC1 to understand the story of RAC2. When they made RAC2, the story of RAC1 didn't really affect the story on RAC2. PS2 might be a little bit more playable if it lets you control the camera, but in general my opinion of SAC (which I didn't finish, unfortunately) is that you should focus on the positive and hurry your way through the negatives best you can.Well, it doesn't really affect them if its canon or not. Any sequences where you were puzzling, it was fun any sequence where you were fighting off bad guys in a room, the game sucked because of the camera. Secret Agent Clank, I liked a lot more because the levels were unique and it was very un-Ratchet. It's not bad, but go ahead and power through it and don't try to love it much or get the most out of it because it'll let you down. It seemed really great to me at first, then it curtailed in fun significantly, then the space sections kicked in and its gorgeous engine struck me again, and then more disappointing levels and frustrating camera viewpoints (this developer loves sticking the camera right up its character's asses), and then game over. Size Matters had lots of problems that bothered me, but it could be that I'm bitter over it because I spent hours trying to level up to get the RYNO (I generally max out all my R&C game files) and there were really only two or three stages in the whole game that you could play multiple times to grind because of the funky structure.

RATCHET AND CLANK PSP 1080P

I would think PS2 version, but I'm unsure if there's game breaking glitches or anything else I should be aware of.Īs a side note to games 2-4: why even have a 16:9 option if you're just gonna crop the picture? :/ Ended up playing 4:3 w/ the black bars on the side.Īlso, upscaled to 1080p w/ smoothing looks amazing on the PS2 R&C.

Play PSP version tethered to my TV via component out I'm ok with that as I'd most likely play with TV out on PSP anyway, as I'd rather play on my 52" TV than my PSP screen since I won't be playing it on the go anyway (too many other backlogged DS/PSP games already.) I realize PS2 version is a port of PSP and the graphics are the PSP version blown up to TV size. So far i love the series.Īs the next games are R&C:SM and SAC, I now have an option I'm hoping GAF will help me solve. I am currently playing through Ratchet Deadlocked. I haven't been playing them back to back, usually have 2/3 games in between.

RATCHET AND CLANK PSP SERIES

I have been playing through the R&C series from the start (all first time playthroughs).
